Try one of its rich, meaty staples, like Steak Tartare — which is the reason my Paris-born server works at the 4th Ave. haunt. It was that good, he said.

"Tangy!" was my first reaction to the chopped New Year Steak, which was wonderfully tender and riddled with capers.

The high-grade raw meat was thickly coated in a traditional mix of Worcestershire, incredible house made mayo and other spices.
