CHARLOTTETOWN - A fire inside an apartment building in downtown Charlottetown has forced 11 people from their home.

The fire broke out Friday in a building that includes a pizzeria on its ground floor and several apartments on the second and third floors.

There were no injuries, but the Canadian Red Cross is helping seven tenants with emergency lodging and food.

One woman, whose apartment was badly damaged, required clothing as well.

There was no immediate word on the cause of the fire.
