Sony Pictures Imageworks is doubling its space in Vancouver. The Academy Award–winning operation said it’s opening an additional 16,000 square feet in Yaletown by March, two blocks from its other studio.

The local studios will be working on visual effects for Men in Black 3, Oz the Great and Powerful, the animated feature Hotel Transylvania and The Amazing Spider-Man.
